This is one of the many pictures that Brains has taken on his early morning adventures in the hope of catching 'the big one'. It's a decent sunrise, even though the picture quality isn't tops.

View from Mt Victoria down on to the Quay

This is a corker shot that Peter took on our hike up to Mount Victoria. It's looking down onto a convent, through to the Quay at Wellington. On a sunny day, you'd be hard pressed to find a better view in the world. At the top of this mountain, there are 360deg water views. And on a clear day, from parts of Wellington you can see snow covered peaks on the south island - which is a 3hr ferry ride away.

Red Rock

In our new car, we were able to offroad to a seal colony about 20mins from Wellington city. They were everywhere too. There were caution signs not to go too close, coz the little buggers have sharp teeth and are not afraid to use them! Poppy couldn't believe it! Peter was quite horrified by their pungent odour. When we got out of the car, it hit us like a tonne of bricks. It was a strong urine smell mixed with fish. Delightful!
